This Daniel & Webster Art design features the Circus stamp which was released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of John Ringling and to honor the American Circus industry.  It pictures Johann Ludwig Jacob, a German-born man who moved to America and became the star clown of Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus.  At the time of issue, this was the only US stamp to picture a living person.
Original unused/uncirculated stamp included on back of frame.
