This Daniel & Webster Art 11x14 framed print features the 1947 Doctors stamp in the foreground and a caduceus in the background The 73-year-old stamp honors doctors and is based on a reproduction of Sir Luke Fildes’ painting, “The Doctor.” After being elected to the New York Medical Society in 1844, Nathan Smith Davis created a resolution that suggested creating a national medical association to “elevate… the standard of medical education in the United States.” Although he wasn’t the first to have this idea, he was the first to find success.
The original 73-year-old unused/uncirculated stamp included on back of the frame.
